Una delle zone più belle dove è possibile fare delle splendide camminate nelle mie vicinanze è certamente la Selva del Lamone. Questa foresta si trova vicino al paese di Farnese in provincia di Viterbo ed è facilmente raggiungibile. La foresta è attraversata da tantissimi sentieri alcuni dei quali adeguatamente provvisti di segnali (la foresta è grande ed è facile perdersi nell'intricatissimo e selvatico intreccio degli alberi): il più rilevante di questi sentieri è certamente il Sentiero dei Briganti.
Insomma vale la pena fare un'escursione in questa bellissima area ovviamente appropriatamente attrezzati (cappello, zaino, bastone, scarponi, giaccone con cappuccio, coltello, ecc...)

One of the most beautiful areas where it is possible to make fantastic walks here in the surroundings is surely La Selva del Lamone (The Lamone Forest). This forest is situated near the village of Farnese (province of Viterbo - Central Italy about 100 km north of Rome). The area is easily reachable
The forest has many tracks many of them provided with adequate signals (the forest is very big and wild: easily one could get lost): the most famous of them is the Bandits' Track.
In my opionion this forest is highly worth visiting for walking and trekking enthusiasts of course with appropriate and adequate equipment (boots, a stick, a knife, hat and hood, and so on)
